Also known as Kawasan Industri Terintegrasi Batang (KITB), this 4,300-hectare area is an ideation of President Joko Widodo to boost the nation’s industrial GDP as well as to attract foreign investors. Under a 30-year concession agreement with Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM), MPDT is to supply 250,000 m³/day demineralised water to Batang Integrated Industrial Park.

Construction process is expected to take 10 years in phases:
Phase I   : 50,000 m³/day in 2025
Phase II  : 50,000 m³/day in 2027
Phase III : 50,000 m³/day in 2029
Phase IV : 100,000 m³/day in 2031

While waiting for the plant to be completed, MPDT will supply 20,000 m³/day using containerised plants.
